Back in my early blogging days, I was addicted to novelty prints. I had clothes printed with glasses, horses, dogs, watermelons, you name it. Since then I've chilled out on buying too many extreme printed pieces; I'm much more drawn to neutrals and clothes that I can mix & match now (especially since I don't really shop for new clothing anymore). But this parrot print set just called to me (I almost said "it macawed to me," how fast would you have unsubscribed?), and even though it doesn't get as much wear as it should, it's one of my favorite pieces in my closet. I'm going to Hawaii next year, and you can bet that I'll be bringing it along with me!
Before I end this post, I have a confession to make: this co-ordinate set was originally a romper. It was connected at the back with the open-tie slit still in front, meaning to go to the bathroom I had to literally un-do every button on the top and THEN undress to do my business. Um, ain't nobody got time for that. So, I took matters into my own hands: I cut it myself using a pair of scissors that I'm 100% positive were not meant for clothing. Does it look awful in the back? Probably, but all that matters is I can now go to the bathroom without getting fully naked, and for that I have #noregrets.
